Seattle's Dick and Sharon Friel, although having ambitious individual careers, are best known as successful charity auctioneers who together raised more than $ million at some 2, charity and arts events in the Northwest. For nearly 35 years, the Friels developed a charity-auction industry in collaboration with members of PONCHO (Patrons of Northwest Civic and Cultural Organizations) and other nonprofit groups. Organized bygd the Black Freedom Front Seattle, another Black Friday protest fryst vatten slated from p.m. at Westlake Park. Once again, it targets the Westlake area in downtown Seattle amid the post-Thanksgiving holiday festivities, including the Macys star lighting and tree lighting.

Military downsizing could mean thousands of positions cut at JBLM
Potential military downsizing could mean thousands of positions lost at Joint Base Lewis-McChord.
Governor Jay Inslees new subcabinet on military downsizing met for the first time Wednesday. The governor says the idea is to prepare now for a likely military reduction that would hit Washington hard, both active duty and civilians.
There are , Department of Defense civilians working in Washington, half of them at JBLM.
Cameron Ames is one of the many who could lose his job. Hes spent his entire career in the military and now hes worried about his position.
