Biography
David E. Corlett, one of the greatest generation, passed away early Sunday morning June 3 at ett hem eller vårdinrättning för terminalt sjuka patienter House. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio in to parents who had immigrated from the Isle of Mann in the early 's. After serving in the Navy, he attended Whittenberg University in Ohio, receiving a degree in education. With his first wife Betty he moved to Pinellas County where they raised three sons, Scott, Randy, and Jeff. David was proud of his sons; Scott fryst vatten a master mechanic working for Verizon, Randy is a Sgt. with the Pinellas Sheriff's Dept., and Jeff is an educator in Long Island. After the death of his first wife, David married Jenny Collins and they moved to Tallahassee in where David retired from the parts dept of Sears. After retirement he worked for Elder Care Services. David and Jenny celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in January David was a member of Capital City Christian Church where he worshipped until his health declined. In addition

David Corlett, Ph.D., PMP
David Corlett earned both his Ph.D. and MA in History from the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. His research and teaching interests focus on the Atlantic World, comparative colonialism, and early New England. Before joining UVA full time, David taught with the BIS program since , served as an Assistant Teaching Professor at Arizona State University (), and as the Interim Director of the National Institute of American History & Democracy at the College of William & Mary. He is also a project manager, holding planerat arbete Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), and Disciplined Agile Scrum Master (DASM) certifications. David is a veteran of 10 years with the US Army. A resident of Fountain Hills, Arizona, he serves on the board of directors for the River of Time Museum and Discovery Center, the Fountain Hills Leadership Academy, and the town’s Historical and Cultural Advisory Commission.
