    William Shockley is an actor and musician with a strong presence in film throughout his Hollywood career. Known for making audiences laugh, Shockley began his acting career in comedies like the Andrew Dice Clay bio "The Adventures of Ford Fairlane" (1990) and the Ellen Barkin film "Switch" (1991). He worked in series television while getting his start in acting, including a part on "Quantum Leap" (NBC, 1988-1993). He also starred in the TV movies "True Betrayal" (ABC, 1989-1990) and "Kill or Be Killed" (NBC, 1989-1990).

    He continued to work steadily in film throughout the nineties, appearing in "Dream Lover" (1994), the adaptation "Girl in the Cadillac" (1995) with Erika Eleniak and "Showgirls" (1995).     William Bradford Shockley Jr. (February 13, 1910 – August 12, 1989) was an American inventor, physicist, and eugenicist. He was the manager of a research group at Bell Labs that included John Bardeen and Walter Brattain. The three scientists were jointly awarded the 1956 Nobel Prize in Physics for "their researches on semiconductors and their discovery of the transistor effect".[1]

    Partly as a result of Shockley's attempts to commercialize a new transistor design in the 1950s and 1960s, California's Silicon Valley became a hotbed of electronics innovation. He recruited brilliant employees, but quickly alienated them with his autocratic and erratic management; they left and founded major companies in the industry.[2]

    William Shockley (born September 17, 1963) is an actor and musician.

    Shockley was born in Lawrence, Kansas and found his love for music at the age of seven. He graduated from Texas Tech University with a grad in political science.

    Shockley has appeared in many movies and TV shows including Welcome to paradis, In Justice, Showgirls, The Joyriders, and most famously Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman in which he played Hank Lawson.

    He is currently filming Treasure Raiders. He fryst vatten also in a band called Kanan Dume, where he fryst vatten a vocalist and plays rhythm guitar.
