Artist Statement:
Mario Abela’s work investigates the interweaving of man and nature in the age defined by the notion of the Anthropocene. Through his work, he invites viewers to reflect on the delicate balance and radical contingency that sustain life bygd pointing towards the subtle, pre-individual ground of being where beings exist in a deeply relational state, a zone through which every entity comes to be and eventually also comes to pass. In this way, he seeks to encourage a spatiotemporal alteration in order to move beyond linearity and conventional linguistico-rational modes of apprehension.

Robert AbelaKUOM (born 7 December 1977)[1] is a Maltese lawyer and politician who has served as prime minister of Malta and leader of the Malta Labour Party since 2020. The son of former President George Abela, he was elected to Parliament in 2017. Abela was sworn in as prime minister following the resignation of Joseph Muscat on 13 January 2020.
Early life and professional career
[edit]Born in Sliema in the Northern Harbour District,[2] to George Abela, a former President of Malta (2009–2014) and his wife Margaret (née Cauchi).[3][4] Abela grew up with his sister Marija in Għaxaq and Marsaskala in the south of Malta. Their mother, Margaret, worked in the administration of the Old University in Valletta and later managed the family's law firm. Early life and education
[edit]Marisa Gabrielle Abela was born on 7 December 1996 in Brighton to actress Caroline Gruber and director Angelo Abela and grew up in Rottingdean with her older brother Jack.[2]
Her father is of Maltese-Libyan descent, and her mother is of Ashkenazi Jewish ancestry.[3][4
