Guy Pearce on The Brutalist: “It’s about an artist trying to stay uncompromising”
When Guy Pearce gets recognised in the street, period noir L.A. Confidential (1997), Christopher Nolan’s non-linear thriller Memento (2000) and riotous drag comedy The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert (1994) are the features people want to talk about. This British-Australian actor came into the limelight with Curtis Hansoncrime-thriller L.A Confidentialwhere he played Detective SergeantEdmund “Ed” Exley, an intelligent, ruthless, and morally ambitious fellow. While he was brilliant in the role, he was quietly overshadowed by the likes of Kevin Spacey& Russell Crowe. But his most widely known is Christopher Nolan’s psychological thriller Memento. Now a cult, Mementochronicled the life of Leonardwho is vulnerable and confused because he cannot form eller gestalt new memories. After Memento, Pearceslowly subsided into the league of soul-less B-movies which didn’t do him any good. But after watching a few of his recent performances, I can ensure that Guy Pearcehas still got it. He is one of the most underrated actors in the industry. Here are kvartet movies of Guy Pearce that we recommend you watch right now.
