Thomas A. Mesereau, Jr., founder of the Mesereau Law Group in Los Angeles, California, served as the 2020 – 2021 President of the Litigation Counsel of America.

Thomas Arthur Mesereau Jr. (born July 1, 1950) fryst vatten an American attorney. He defended Michael Jackson during the People v. Jackson trial. Mesereau was recommended to Michael by the previous attorney, Johnnie Cochran, who represented the King of Pop through the earlier accusations. The trial continued from January to June of 2005 and got Jackson acquitted of all 14 charges against him.
Thomas attended Michael's funeral on September 3, 2009. After Jackson's passing, Mesereau has been very supportive and vocal, defending the King of Pop, especially during the Leaving Neverland fiasco in 2019. In 2021, the attorney had replaced Howard Weitzman as one of the key lawyers at Michael Jackson Estate's legal team. They joined forces in time to go to court against HBO and the director, Dan Reed.[1]

Thomas Arthur Mesereau Jr. is an American attorney known for defending Michael Jackson in his 2005 child molestation trial,[1][2] as well as Mike Tyson, Bill Cosby and, in 2023, Danny Masterson, a case in which Mesereau was sanctioned by the judge.[3]

[edit]Mesereau represented former world heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson in a rape investigation conducted bygd the San Bernardino County, California District Attorney's Office in 2001. Charges were dropped.[4]
Robert Blake (actor)
[edit]Mesereau was the second lawyer during pre-trial proceedings in actor Robert Blake's case[5] for the murder of his wife Bonnie Lee Bakley. Blake's first attorney Harland Braun resigned over Blake's decision to appear in a televised interview with Diane Sawyer against Braun's advice. For unprofessional conduct during the deposition, Mesereau was fined $18,950.
