    Frank Easter, a Baptist Deacon, helped organize a Baptist
    church at Frio in the early 's. Joe Stagner's daughters were
    baptized in Easter Lake, and held membership in Frio until
    Tierra Blanca Baptist Association had no mention of Frio until the
    present church was organized August 17, , after a week
    revival held by Herman Coe and L.T. Field of Wayland College.
    Charter members were Will S. and Irene Dixon, Mr. and Mrs. J.B.
    Harlan, J.B. Harlin Jr., and Mrs. Leo Williams. Baptized into
    membership that same day were Mrs. H.M. Mobley; Mr. and Mrs.
    J.E. Andrews, Owen, Mattie, Elsie, Alma, Ruby and Henry; Mr.
    and Mrs. T.L. Sparkman, Sr., Georgia and T.L., Jr.; Elmer Jones;
    Florence Hunter. Joining that night were Mrs. Henry Allmon and
