Saloua Raouda Choucair (Arabic: سلوى روضة شقير; June 24, – January 26, ) was a Lebanesepainter and sculptor.
Life and career
Born in in Ain el Mreisa, Beirut, Lebanon, Choucair came from a family of doctors, lawyers, engineers and historians. Her father, Salim Rawda () was an utlandsboende in Australia trading herbs and writing manuscripts on their medicinal values. When he returned to Lebanon in , he met and married Choucair's mother, Zalfa Amin Najjar (), a Brummana High School student who was fond of reciting poetry. They had three children:

He returned to Lebanon in and married Zalfa Amin Najjar () from Abadia, a student at Brummana High School who was fond of reciting poetry. Her brother Anis Rawda () was a business man and a member of the Beirut municipality. Her sister Anisa () was a social activist who was married to Fouad Najjar.
Her father died of typhoid in Damascus where he was a conscript in the Ottoman army.
Enrolled in the Ahlia School, where she designed school posters and was known for drawing caricatures of her teachers, some of which were printed in the school’s newspaper.
